The region’s brightest and best women in business are descending on Blackpool Expo on Wednesday September 27th.
The expo has continued to champion women in business – as well as local business – since it launched three years ago.
Nichola Howard, the woman behind Blackpool Expo, and some of the leading ladies who will be involved share their top expert advice ahead of the event:
Nichola Howard – Director Launch Events North West
“As a self-employed mother of two, I quickly learned when setting up my company that the challenge of running your own business is made easier – and a lot more fun- when you surround yourself with like-minded people who genuinely want to see you succeed.
Many inspirational women have been critical to our events’ success to date- that’s why we make sure we have a mix of speakers at every event, and we put Women in Digital on the agenda at out Digital Marketing Roadshows.”
Angela Singleton – Director and Solicitor at 828 Law
“I opened 828 Law in June 2014 to provide clients across Lancashire with expert legal advice, specialising in family law, children cases, residential conveyancing, Wills and Power of Attorney.
My key advice for 828 clients is to protect your children from any disagreements and ensure that they maintain a good relationship with both parents where it is safe to do so.”
Shae Dickman – Sales and Marketing Executive at apprenticeship and training experts Baltic Training
“I would advise every client to embrace change – if there’s one belief that powers everything at Baltic it’s that change is good. We want to transform the way people recruit, change the way people learn and positively shift the perceptionof apprenticeships.”
Lynne Holmes – Business Development Manager at award winning accountants Danbro
“Having been at Danbro for two years now, I can see how committed the founders Helen and Damian Broughton have been to our clients and the local community – this was recognised by the couple being awarded MBEs for their services to industry. So I’d offer Helen and Damian’s story as an inspiration to start-up businesses and entrepreneurs – they started in 1999 from a bedroom in Kirkham, but with the right skills, commitment and passion for clients, your business can grow to levels you can only imagine.
For our clients, who are often time-limited and in need of speedy support, we always advise to start off by simply talking to us! We operate on a fixed fee basis and there’s no extra charge if you need some advice. Plus, we can better advise you if you keep in touch.”
Michelle Shea – Business Growth Enabler, NatWest
“There’s no need to go it alone: whatever your plans and goals are for your business, we are here to help you, our aim is to provide you with the support and guidance you need to take your business forward.”
